We are a family owned and run Tea Room in the historic Friars House, dating from 1450.

The Friar’s House offers delicious food  - with all cakes, scones, quiche and pies made at the Friars House from fresh ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible - click for more information or select from the options above.

We also have a selection of original art for sale - plus cards by local artists including Sheila Harvey and Stella Brookes.  Stock changes  regularly.

And don’t forget - on Tuesdays to Fridays we cater for small groups and private parties of up to 40 people, for birthdays, walking groups, local clubs and societies, funerals and small wedding parties.  For more information click here

Opening Hours

The Friar’s House is open on Monday 4th December from 12 noon to 4.30pm for lunches - soup, quiches, jacket potatoes - and cakes and our Aga cooked scones and drinks.
